IMMIGRATION PHYSICAL FITNESS SCREENING EXERCISE

        IMMIGRATION PHYSICAL FITNESS SCREENING EXERCISE

When one looks at the crowd at the immigration physical fitness screening exercise in one state alone, one can easily ask; how well have the Sure P re-investment program done? How can we improve in our implementation, what have we done wrong? Awardees; are they meeting up with their expectations because this is getting out of hand, people are very hungry.

“Get rich, die trying” by 50 cent (A Rapper/Hip-hop Star);

This phrase from 50 Cent has become an important sentence in the mind-set of most young Nigerians. Does this mean that Nigeria is heading in the wrong direction? Do we need to replace Subsidy or reinvest subsidy fund better?

Going to the statistics
Going through the Sure P Re-investment and Empowerment Programme web page http://www.sure-p.gov.ng/main/. We can attest the fact that Sure P has done very well in job creation
·         185,000 Jobs Provided
·         6294 Skill labour
·         6713 Health worker e.t.c.
But my very worry is sustenance, as at today; how many subsidy buses are still on the road? If one should check records, you will find out that some Sure P Beneficial’s where in attendance for this screening. That also leaves a vacuum… where are we heading to?
This crowd is what we expect to see during 2015 election in February 14th and 29th else JEGA dun do JAGAJAGA!!!
Of course, the government don’t need this crowd to win election cos government can control it, Nigerians method of campaign is not rooted so incumbent might lose election. The former head of state Olusegun Obasanja   tried so hard to avoid it. Check history; both 2003 and 2007 election, student where on strike. Remember government will advise earlier enough for student and worker to register where ever they are (while school is in session) and you vote where you register.
Please I need an answer, have we ever gotten half of this crowd in a pulling centre? The last time I saw a crowd like this was during subsidy protest in Abuja and Lagos.
I think Nigerians desire change! Change in electoral process!! And change in power!!! Lets give the youth a chance to make it better. Not just any youth but a youth with right antecedent.
